Hey everyone! I’m Jaclyn.
How long have you been in the fitness world:
I grew up playing tennis, so the fitness world and tennis world for me were closely connected since I was little. I jumped into more consistent weight training while playing in college. I’ve always enjoyed working out, but 3 years ago found a love for strength training at Vault. I’ve been in my role as Client Success Manager for a year and a half now, and it’s flown by! Before I had my kiddos, I taught 4th grade for several years and also coached tennis. I’ve always loved helping people learn new skills and seeing them experience that sense of accomplishment! I’ve been in the role of Stay at Home Mom for the past 5 years with my 2 boys and I feel so fortunate for the quality time I’ve gotten to spend with them. Working at Vault has given me the opportunity to help improve others’ quality of life, while still getting lots of time with my little guys.
What do I love about my job?
Well, I love getting to help our members and coaches! It is so fulfilling to know I’m lightening the load of our amazing team so they can focus on helping our clients make progress toward their goals through coaching. Whether it’s scheduling intro meetings for potential members, making sure things are going smoothly on the tech-side for clients, or checking on members who we haven’t seen in a while, it brings me joy to help carry out Vault’s passion for creating community and improving people’s lives.

I am Coach Funk, it’s a pleasure to meet you! Welcome home!
The gym is home to me. I feel joy every time I walk through the door. I love building people’s health one day at a time.
I spent half my childhood in Albuquerque and half in Seattle. You could find me riding my horse, dancing or doing gymnastics as a kid. Before high school graduation I shattered my fibula and ankle in a car accident which led to surgery. The healing time and college move to Bowling Green State University led to a short hiatus from exercise.
After college graduation I got married and stayed in the Toledo area. For exercise, I dabbled in and out cycling, running, walking, weightlifting, and CrossFit. I’m most proud of running the Boston Marathon, cycling MS Bike to the Bay and getting certified as a CrossFit-Level 1 trainer. Along the way, I fell in love with the idea of whole health (fitness, food, focus, friends, and faith). To be the healthiest version of yourself, it’s you and your environment. I kept learning and added a nutrition and behavior change certification to my toolbox.
I’ve been a personal trainer, group instructor and nutrition coach since 2020. Something I love about my job is when clients come in saying, “I want to do a pushup, box jump or meet military qualification standards.” I immediately feel the excitement of walking them step-by-step towards that goal. Through goal reviews and pairing exercise with proper nutrition, I can assure the client that they can do a lot more than they thought possible. When the mind and body click together, I can see the look of pride on their face and I instantly feed off that energy. I live for those moments!
Favorite movement: Wall Walks
Favorite treat/guilty pleasure: Sister Wives t.v. series
Favorite thing to do outside of work: Visit Coffee Shops
If your clients described you in one word, what would it be: Determined
Meet Adam!
My fitness journey kicked off on the soccer field, but my curiosity for the science behind it all began at 17 when I got to shadow a dietitian. One session in, and I was hooked! I went on to play high school soccer and run track at Perrysburg High, later heading to Kent State University, where I earned my degree in nutrition and followed it up with a master’s in health sciences.
Fun fact: I’ve taught breastfeeding classes to new moms—it turns out I love a good health lesson!
What I love most about my work is helping people take charge of their health and fitness. The ultimate goal is to make a lasting impact on someone’s life.
Favorite Movement: Bulgarian Split Squats
Guilty pleasure: Extra large movie theater popcorn
My favorite thing to do outside of work is to spend a night out in the town. I love to dance, dress up, and enjoy the nightlife in Columbus.
One word my clients would use to describe me: Graciously direct (sorry, it’s two words)
Hey! I am Cortney.
Working with kids has always been my passion. Teaching for over a decade brought me so much joy and fulfillment. I had the honor of teaching more than 500 students, each one unique. They made me laugh, inspired me, and, sometimes, challenged me. Those ups and downs are all part of growing up, and I loved being there beside them as they learned and evolved.
Now, coaching kids in health and fitness lets me continue that journey in a new way. Here, I get to support their growth not only in skills like reading or comprehension but also in self-confidence, physical strength, and resilience. Fitness is foundational; it’s a lifelong journey, just like education. Helping kids understand the importance of taking care of their bodies now can lead to a lifetime of healthy habits that support both their physical and mental well-being.
Not only do I enjoy coaching the youth program here at Vault, but I also look forward each week to coaching our group sessions and working with my amazing personal training clients. In the fitness world, we don’t just build physical strength – we build relationships. I’m here to encourage, uplift, and support people through both challenging workouts and life’s tougher moments. My goal is to make everyone feel comfortable, supported, and inspired, so that everyone who walks into our gym leaves feeling stronger and happier than when they walk out.
Favorite movement: Bulgarian Split Squats
Guilty pleasure: Big bowl of ice cream
Favorite thing to do outside of work: Read books and drink warm coffee on our couch
One word my clients would use to describe me: Positive
Coach Nichole here! While I spent most of my childhood years riding horses, you wouldn’t have described me as naturally athletic. It wasn’t until I was almost 30 that I discovered my love for fitness and my passion for lifting weights and getting strong. I joined my first CrossFit gym in 2013 and did my best to stay consistent and learn as much as I could while working full time as a dental technician and being a mom. In 2020 I was fortunate enough to be able to leave my full time job and that’s when I was encouraged by a good friend to get my coaching certification. I ended up completing both my Level 1 and Level 2 CrossFit certifications within 6 months and dove head first into coaching. I absolutely love helping people realize their potential in the gym. I firmly believe that we are all stronger than we think we are and it’s an absolute blessing to share my knowledge and passion with everyone at the Vault. Fitness is for EVERYONE and I’m so proud to be able to show that to everyone that walks through our doors.
Favorite Movement: I love the Olympic lifts, and the snatch is definitely my all time favorite. I’m also a huge fan of a heavy deadlift day!
Guilty Pleasure: A glass of wine and a good book in the bathtub, and I actually don’t ever feel guilty about that!
Favorite thing outside of work: I love a nice dinner date with my husband on a Friday, walking my dogs, and cross stitching.
As a kid I played a large variety of sports, basketball, soccer, football, baseball to name a few. However, I really did not understand the importance of actual fitness and health at this time. It wasn’t until my mid 20’s after I joined the Active Duty Air Force where my fitness journey really began. A friend of mine asked me to go to the gym with them and unenthusiastically I walked to GNC and then the base gym with him. A few protein shakes and some dumbbell curls later, I was hooked. I spent the majority of my time lifting free weights and working on machines while playing intramural sports to get in the “cardio” for the day. After leaving Active Duty and heading back home I tried to stay consistent in the gym, but never really found a place that was like what I was used to. My mom actually then got me into a CrossFit gym in 2019 and from here my fitness and health journey really started taking shape. I fell in love with the competitive, intense nature of the gym and the results I saw made me want more. Most importantly though was the community that the gym offered and the friends I made along the way. Having like minded people around me was what I really needed. I got my CrossFit certification shortly after and had been coaching a number of gyms over the years until I joined Vault. Along the way I went back to school and got my Master’s in Health Science with a concentration on Human Performance and this is what I really love about coaching in the fitness world. Being able to help members find out just how fit they can be is what really makes me love coaching. I truly enjoy helping members achieve goals they never thought possible and develop skills they never thought they’d have. My goal as a coach at Vault is to provide every member that wants the opportunity to become the best version of themselves. The human body is incredible and what I have found out over my years of coaching is that people are able to do amazing things with the right blend of support and a little push!
Favorite Movements: Wallballs and cycling a barbell!
Guilty Pleasure/Treats: Cocktails while listening to love music, nachos, pizza, burgers, cake, cookies, pie, Reese’s, etc, etc, etc………
Favorite thing outside of work: Outside of my full time job I coach at Vault, but also spend my free time working out, going to one of my three kids sporting events, or just hanging with the family enjoying whatever free time I can find!
Coach Adrienne, here! Since I was a kid, I have been active. I played all kinds of sports growing up – basketball, soccer, dance, cheerleading, running/cross country, etc. I danced throughout my college career, and also began my fitness instructor journey as well. There is nothing quite like working out in a group setting with others; it was a natural transition after years of team sports! I became an instructor in 2014, started teaching youth dance in 2015, became a personal trainer in 2017, and a health coach in 2020. Since 2014, I have taught fitness classes, personal training sessions, various health and wellness full-time roles, and choreographed many dance works performed in various concerts in Bowling Green. I have served all populations – youth, college, young adults, and older adults. I love helping others find movement that they enjoy and develop lifelong healthy habits… while having a lot of fun, too! I have worked in the fitness industry within campus recreation at BGSU through my undergrad and graduate careers, at UToledo overseeing health and fitness within campus recreation, and have worked within commercial fitness and wellness companies; each experience helped me continue to develop as a leader, coach, and as a human. I started Physical Therapy school in August 2024. I am loving applying the skills and exercise science knowledge acquired over the past 10 years for my future career as a PT. I feel so fortunate to be part of the amazing health and wellness community at the Vault. My goal as a leader is to provide safe and effective workouts, provide health and wellness education, and to support our community along the way. The best part of being in the fitness industry is the relationships built in the gym!
Fav movement: Squats!
Guilty Pleasure/treat: Anything with chocolate and peanut butter – a well balanced diet includes the yummy stuff, too!
Favorite thing outside of work: Spending time with my husband and our fur babies, our pup, Lola, and our three kitties, Mouse, Milly, and Momo. I love riding my bike, practicing yoga, dancing, and spending time with my loved ones.
